Dogs under 7 are listed on Every Dog’s Chance; dogs 7 and older on our sister site Lily’s Second Chance. Every submission is reviewed before publishing — this is for dogs missing from our directory, not for reporting a lost pet.
Every Dog's Chance gathers listings from shelters and rescues automatically, but no directory catches everything. If a dog you know about is missing, whether you work at the organization, foster the dog, volunteer there or simply noticed the gap, you can submit the dog here. Submissions are free.
A good submission names the shelter or rescue responsible for the dog, links to the listing on their own site or adoption platform, and includes a clear photo. The organization stays in charge of the dog: adoption inquiries go to them, and if their listing changes or the dog is adopted, the entry here follows.
Each submission is read by a person before it is published, which keeps the directory limited to real, currently adoptable dogs. If something on a published listing is wrong, the profile has a link to report it and the correction is handled the same way.
