Meet Ace

Ace was abandoned as a stray and rescued by a good Samaritan that reached out to us for help. Ace may start off a little shy, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate and playful personality shines through. He loves greeting familiar faces, enjoys being outdoors, and would thrive with an active family who loves adventures, playtime, and fresh air. Ace is a true Border Collie at heart — smart, energetic, and always ready to chase, herd, or puzzle his way into fun. He does especially well with another playful, energetic dog who can help him burn off all that enthusiasm. He’s also cat-friendly and lives peacefully with a cat now. Inside, Ace is chill; he’s housebroken, can be left alone without issue, and loves settling under the dining table or solving treat puzzles. With his nose nudges, joyful energy, and loyal nature, Ace is the kind of dog who will bond deeply with his people and bring so much life to a home. He’s still getting comfortable with leashes and harnesses, but he’s learning and making progress every day. Side note: he has gotten to the occasional tennis shoe or stray piece of paper laying around, but otherwise sticks to his toys.
