Meet Ace

Hi, I'm Ace! I'm a 3-year-old, 50-pound, Husky/Border Collie mix with a BIG heart, BIG energy, and an even bigger zest for life! If you're looking for a hiking buddy, running partner, agility teammate, or adventure companion... I just might be your guy! My favorite thing in the world? People! I absolutely love making new friends and soaking up all the attention I can get. I'm affectionate, loyal, and happiest when I'm spending time with my humans. I have a lot of energy, so I'm looking for a family that loves staying active. Long walks, hikes, agility, nose work, advanced training—you name it, I'm ready! ‍ My brain is always working, and I thrive when I have a job to do. A tired Ace is a happy Ace! I'll be honest—I do have a few quirks. I'm not a dog park kind of guy and I'm selective about my canine friends. I may be happiest as your one-and-only pup, or with the right dog after slow introductions. I also can't live with cats. I'm still working on my leash manners because sometimes my excitement gets the best of me! I can be strong on leash and I may jump up to say hello (I'm just really excited to meet you! ), but with consistency, exercise, and training, I'm eager to keep learning. I'm also a little sensitive about being handled around my chest and front legs, especially when it's time to put on a harness. I'll do best with someone who understands my boundaries, is patient, and uses positive reinforcement to help me continue building confidence. Because of this, I'd prefer a home without young children.
