ARIA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Aria Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd/Terrier Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of Sept. 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 25lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Aria is Looking For: Her forever home! Aria is coming to the DC area all the way from Puerto Rico, where she likely lived a pretty quiet life. Since getting here, she's thought this place is the BEST and has loved to zoom and play as much as possible. SHe's a happy girl who'd love a family with lots of time for play and once that's done she'd also like to request snuggles and treats, please. What My Foster Says About Me: She got here from Puerto Rico this morning and is just the best wiggle butt ever! She is ALL about getting love from humans! Her tail is always going - and whenever a new human appears in her field of vision, that tail speeds up considerably. She is fabulous. And only 25 pounds so she’s pretty small too! She's so joyful and loving and all around great. I have been walking her solo and she loves exploring. She is very confident even in the city, though she does stop me every so often to ask for a good cuddle, then gets back to the walk. In here, her crate is a safe place for her and she's quiet in it. But she also likes being out and around - she likes seeing what's what in my home, and enjoyed being in my backyard both without and with the other dogs (I have three of my own and foster Barney is back with me for the weekend as well). I don't think she's lived in a home-home before - she's from a TNR (Trap Neuter and Release) program and lived in a schoolhouse with 20 other dogs, which isn't quite the same ratio of dogs to humans in most homes but she's loving playing with my fellow dogs as well as snuggling with me. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
