Meet Arlo

Meet Arlo, a 1-year-old spayed Australian Cattle Dog mix who is proof thatshy girls can still have a seriously fun side! Arlo is part of the shelter`sShy Dog Program and has made some wonderful progress. She can still be alittle unsure in new situations or with new people, but she`s learning thatthe world isn`t quite as scary as it first appeared. Shelter noise is definitely not Arlo`s favorite thing. When the barkingstarts, she tends to head straight for the end of the leash like she hassomewhere very important to be. Once she`s away from all the commotion,however, she walks much better and can relax and enjoy herself. Arlo came in with her buddy Aqua, and these two love to run, play, andexplore together. But Arlo also did just fine when separated from Aqua, soshe doesn`t need a canine sidekick. Her previous family reported that Arlo was surrenderedbecause of a family emergency. Arlo is looking for a patient family who will let her continue buildingconfidence at her own pace. Give her some time, a little encouragement, anda chance to get away from the shelter chaos, and you`ll get to see thehappy, playful, curious girl hiding underneath the shy exterior. Herprogress has already been wonderful-and being part of her next chapter couldbe pretty rewarding!
