Meet Basil

Basil – Athletic, Affectionate, and Ready for Adventure Basil is a 2-year-old German Shepherd Dog mix weighing 60 pounds with athleticism, good looks, and a loving personality. Active and adventurous: Basil may pull a little at the beginning of walks as excitement takes over, but he settles nicely as the outing continues. He enjoys running, sniffing, and exploring, while frequently checking back in with his handler. Affectionate cuddle bug: As he chills, Basil transforms into a sweet, affectionate companion. He happily leans in for pets and scratches and will come over for cuddles when you sit down. Smart and treat motivated: Basil knows “sit,” takes treats politely, and enjoys engaging with his people during training and everyday interactions. Dog-social: Basil enjoys the game of chase with other dogs in doggie playgroup, though he may bark at other dogs when walking on leash. Basil would do well with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home.
