Bentley is a 1-year-old Shih Tzu (??) mix who may be a little shy at first, but underneath that timid exterior is a wonderful boy just waiting for the right person to help him feel safe and loved. Bentley will need time, patience, and understanding as he adjusts to his new home. He may take a little while to come out of his shell, but once he learns that he is safe and can trust his people, we believe he will truly blossom into an amazing companion. His new family will need to let him set the pace and give him the time he needs to build confidence. Bentley is dog-friendly and would love a calm, patient family who understands that earning his trust will be a journey—but one that will be incredibly rewarding. Because of his timid nature, Bentley is not recommended for children under 10 at this time. A quieter home with older, respectful children would be best for him.
