Meet Bessie

Bessie is a sweet little Chihuahua mix with a gentle soul and a heart that just needs a little time to feel safe. Born around 5/6/24 and weighing about 15 pounds, Bessie came to us through a shelter transport from another area in hopes of finding the loving home she deserves. She can be a bit standoffish when meeting new people or adjusting to new surroundings, but once she’s had a couple of days to settle in, her personality begins to shine, and she becomes much more comfortable and affectionate. Bessie is looking for a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Bessie also has a leash aversion and will need continued patience and positive reinforcement to help her gain confidence with walking on a leash. With a calm environment, consistency, and kindness, she has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. Amazing Grace Bully Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Pensacola, Florida.
