Meet Blue

Meet Blue! he is a handsome 2½-year-old Coonhound/Doberman mix with the most stunning blue eyes you've ever seen! His soulful gaze is just the beginning of what makes him so special. He came to rescue after his previous family made the difficult decision to surrender him because they simply didn't have the time to give him the life he deserved. Since then, he's completed a professional board-and-train program and has blossomed into a wonderful companion. He's a little shy when meeting new people, but once he realizes you're a friend, his sweet and affectionate personality shines through. He does great with people but at 70lbs would be best with older children. He loves other dogs, and would enjoy having a canine buddy—or being your one-and-only best friend. Like many dogs adjusting to a new home, he experiences a bit of separation anxiety at first, but once he settles into a routine, he does very well. He's looking for a family that will give him the consistency and love he needs to feel secure. If you enjoy the outdoors, he's ready to be your adventure partner! And if you have dog experience, thats a big plus! Whether it's walks through the neighborhood or hiking your favorite trails, he's happiest exploring the world by your side. After a day of fun, he's more than happy to trade the trail for the couch and curl up with you for the evening. One thing you should know—he has absolutely no idea how big he is! In his mind, he's still a tiny puppy and will happily climb into your lap for cuddles.
