Meet Brutus

Big, gentle, and easier than he looks Brutus is a large dog with a calm, gentle way about him. He’s easy to handle, doesn’t jump all over people, and seems to enjoy the simple stuff—going for a walk, getting pets, and having a toy to entertain himself with. He’s especially fond of leaning in for affection, which is usually a pretty good sign of the kind of dog you’re dealing with. He appears house-trained, walks out nicely, and has done well with handling, including baths. For a 75-pound dog, he sounds refreshingly manageable. He’s been described more than once as very sweet, and so far he seems to live up to that. Brutus does pay close attention to other dogs when passing their kennels, so more dog-to-dog testing would be smart before placing him with another pet. But with people, he comes across as steady, kind, and straightforward. If you want a big dog without a lot of chaos, Brutus is a strong one to consider.
