Meet Buttercream

Buttercream is a bright, cheerful pup who lights up around people. She brings sunshine wherever she goes and is ready to share that joy with a family of her own. Her owner made the difficult decision to surrender her when they could no longer afford her care, and now she is looking forward to beginning her next chapter with a family who can give her the stability she deserves. Buttercream is wonderful with other dogs, greets everyone with enthusiasm, and is happiest simply being near her people. This sweet 1 year old Retriever mix has a short creamy tan coat and gentle brown eyes that reflect her kind nature. At 44 pounds, she still has some growing to do and will likely be a medium sized dog of up to 60 pounds. She enjoys playing with her canine friends and does well with children. She has not yet met cats since coming into rescue, so her compatibility with them is currently unknown. Buttercream possesses a medium to medium-high energy that will match well with a fairly active family dynamic. She is a great gal to hang out with, play some canine games or for a casual stroll in the neighborhood. Feel free to notch the activity up a bit from a stroll to a hike or even a run. Buttercream will keep up the pace, and her human will be delighted to be by her side. When there is down time, she is a do not stop until you get enough type of girl when it comes to belly rubs. She a huge fan of them day or night. Her skill with leash walking is in progress. With her eager personality and desire to please, she will be a wonderful student who thrives with consistency, guidance, and love from her forever family. Buttercream is already gaining ground with her house and crate training. She has fully mastered both skills and is ready to show her forever family. Although Buttercream is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment.
