Meet Cairo

Meet Cairo Cairo is a 1-year-old blonde husky mix, weighing approximately 50 lbs, with a sunny personality and a whole lot of love to give. This handsome boy is the definition of happy-go-lucky—he loves people, is fantastic with kids, and thinks other dogs are pretty much the greatest thing ever. He has also previously lived with cats! Cairo recently found himself needing a new home through no fault of his own. Some changes in his previous home meant that staying there was no longer safe for him, so he came to us to start his next chapter. And despite all that change, Cairo hasn’t lost his sweet, joyful spirit. He’s already got some pretty impressive house manners, too! Cairo is potty trained, does great in his crate, and settles in nicely at home. We’re currently working on building his confidence on a leash. When Cairo gets nervous or isn’t quite sure what he’s supposed to do, his current strategy is to simply flatten himself to the ground like a pancake. So his future family should be prepared for a little patience, encouragement, and possibly some negotiations with a very blonde, very flat husky mix, At just a year old, Cairo is still a young guy with so much ahead of him. He’s looking for a family who will continue showing him that the world is a safe place, help him build his confidence, and give him all the adventures, playtime, and love a young shepherd deserves.
