This sweet 4 year old Chiweenie weighs 15 pounds and has so much love waiting behind that initially shy exterior. He may take a little time to feel comfortable with someone new, but once he trusts you, Canelo becomes an affectionate little shadow who loves staying close to his favorite person. Canelo has made wonderful progress since coming into rescue. He arrived not knowing how to walk on a leash, but he is now leash trained and loves getting outside for walks. He also enjoys car rides and is happy to tag along for an adventure. Canelo is potty trained, sleeps through the night, and settles nicely into home life. He gets along well with other dogs and currently lives with two cats, so he is comfortable sharing his home with both canine and feline friends. Canelo is looking for someone who understands that the best relationships sometimes take a little time to develop.
