Meet Cassie
A little about sweet Cassie! While extremely limited on what she can see and hear, Cassie has shown herself to be very resilient and a quick learner of her surroundings. Really, her biggest struggle is her anxiety when left alone. She can become vocal and send herself into “panic mode”. The ideal home for her is someone who has the time and patience to help guide her through these moments and slowly acclimate her to being comfortable when alone. She does not appear to be the most comfortable in a crate but made some small strides. Luckily Cassie had no accidents! For her to potty she requires patience to first feel comfortable in an area, and some emotional support so she can focus on going to the bathroom vs. looking for “her person”. She also prefers to have her emotional support person during mealtimes. Cassie did come in with other dogs and did not show reactivity towards mine but is sensitive/startles easy so extremely slow introductions would be the best route for her. I would also recommend feeding her separately from other animals. Lastly, due to her special needs I think a home with older children would be best suited for her at this time.
Could Cassie be your forever companion?
