Meet Cathy

See me in action through this volunteer-made video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/IXZpxIRepFE Cathy's Doggie Day Out: She met 2 kids (unknown age, maybe 8-10?) during our outing and was very friendly. No issues with humans observed during our day. Cathy is a wonderful dog and was a delight to take out! She immediately snuggled up and sat on me the entire car ride in the back. She was very good on the leash and didn’t pull (unless she spotted another dog). She is great with people and loves pets and neck scratches. She is very food motivated and will stare at you after you give her a treat because she wants more! She will make a great companion for a lucky individual or family. She is reactive around other dogs and squealed and pulled on leash when she saw one in the distance. This behavior lessened throughout the day. We also provided positive reinforcement with treat when she did not react when a dog was near and she showed some improvement already within the end of the day. We went on a walk in West Sacramento River Park and walked to Drakes Brew Barn. She seemed to really enjoying getting walked and was very curious about sights and smells. At the brewery she made friends with people and loved receiving attention and pets. Then we took her to get a pup cup which she inhaled, and spent the last of the day in a park lounging.
