Meet Cayenne

Cayenne is an absolutely adorable girl with a sweet, quiet personality and a whole lot of love to give. She may take a little time to show you her true self, but once Cayenne decides she can trust you, you’ll have a best friend for life. Cayenne is a very easy girl in her foster home. She is crate trained, does well on walks with good leash manners, and is good with other dogs. She does most of her potty business outside, although she will occasionally use a potty pad inside. She loves being close to her people and is definitely a cuddle girl who would happily snuggle up beside you. And then there are the things that make Cayenne… well, Cayenne. She LOVES her people, hot dogs, cheese, and one of her favorite activities is army crawling through the grass. Yes, you read that right. This adorable girl has her own special way of enjoying the great outdoors! Cayenne's biggest challenge is unfamiliar people. She is very slow to warm up to strangers and may bark or growl when someone new approaches. She is currently working on overcoming her fear of strangers, and she’ll need a family who understands that trust takes time. Once she knows you and feels safe, that nervousness gives way to the sweet, affectionate girl her foster family knows and loves. Because of this, Cayenne would do best in a quieter home without a lot of unfamiliar visitors coming and going. A family who is patient, understanding, and willing to let her build trust at her own pace would be ideal. She would probably also enjoy having another friendly dog around to keep her company. In her foster home, Cayenne is fabulous—sweet, quiet, cuddly, and absolutely adorable. She just needs someone willing to see past her initial fear and give her the time and patience to discover that the world can be a safe place. If you’re looking for a loving little companion who will become your very best friend once she knows you’re her person, Cayenne may be your girl. Give her a little time, a lot of patience, and a safe place to call home, and she’ll give you her whole heart.
