Meet Chloe

Some dogs walk into your life and immediately make you wonder how anyone could ever let them go. Chloe is one of those dogs. This beautiful 5-year-old Aussie/Great Pyrenees mix is 63 pounds of fluffy sweetness, gentle eyes, and a heart that seems to have an endless supply of love. She was raised from a puppy by the person she thought would always be her person. She knew her home, her routine, her family… and then, through no fault of her own, everything changed. Her owner decided she could no longer give Chloe the time and attention she needed, and Chloe was dropped off at a shelter and her sensitive soul felt and knew she was abandoned. For a dog who had spent her entire life knowing one home and one person, it was devastating. Chloe became depressed and started shutting down. She didn't understand why the person she loved wasn't coming back for her. Thankfully, someone who worked at the shelter noticed and was crushed for her. This caring shelter staff member reached out to Critter Cavalry Rescue because they knew this sweet girl needed a chance to get out of the shelter and remember what it felt like to be loved. And now slowly, Chloe is finding her way back. She is an easygoing girl who does well with other dogs, but what she really wants is her person. She loves attention and words of love. She wants to be close. She wants someone to talk to her, pet her, include her, and make her feel like she belongs again. There is something especially heartbreaking about a dog who was loved for years suddenly wondering if she is still worth loving. Chloe is. She absolutely is. And somewhere out there is the person or family who is going to look at this beautiful girl and think, “How did I ever live without her?”Chloe has so much life left to live and so much love left to give. We just need to help her find the person who will never make her wonder where she belongs again.
