Meet Churro

This might be the cutest little Churro that you have ever seen! Churro is a 12 week old (estimated DOB 7/16/26) Beagle mix baby who is ready to be someone's love. He is currently around 8-9 pounds, one of the smaller kids in this quartet. We anticipate that he will land somewhere in the 20-30 pound range when full grown, probably on the lower end of that scale. Churro was rescued with about 20 other dogs by the CCHS from deplorable living conditions. He doesn't seem affected by it at all and we are grateful! That wonderful Beagle trait of optimism shining through. He is the less bold of the boys in his little litter - a little more cautious, a little smaller, a little less boisterous. But don't let this boy fool you - he is saucy as can be and incredibly playful and dear. Loves to be loved. As with any baby puppy, Churro is going to need all the things from his family that will help him be an outstanding grown up dog. He will need house trained, crate trained, obedience trained, and above all else - socialized with the whole wide world. He needs a family that is dedicated to taking him out and about, sightseeing, on sniffing adventures, meeting new people, experiencing new things. While we aren't requiring that he go to a home with a fenced yard, we caution that Beagles are NOT generally great off leash dogs unsupervised. They will find a scent, follow a scent, lose the scent, realize that they are hopelessly lost. Every day. Multiple times a day. Training them to 'stay in the yard' isn't a thing, as a general rule. Knowledge is power and will keep your beagle baby safe! Churro will soon be available for adoption. We are currently taking applications.
