Meet Cinder

🐾🖤 Well hello there! My name is Cinder! 🖤🐾 I'm a handsome 10-month-old tricolor Mini Australian Shepherd mix, weighing in at about 19 pounds, and I've got the cutest scruffy fur and the most adorable little nubby tail! 🥰 I'm basically a tiny, fuzzy bundle of personality! And let me tell you something about myself right away... I LOVE TO SING! 🎶 I am a very talkative little guy and I have LOTS of opinions to share. If something is on my mind, you can bet I'll let you know all about it! I might just be the perfect companion if you've always wanted a dog who will have actual conversations with you. 😉 My story has been a little bit of an adventure so far. A kind lady with kiddos rescued me and brought me into her home when she found me injured. She had 5- and 12-year-old children, and I absolutely LOVED them! One day, I came up to the kiddos while they were outside on the porch, and they found me injured. Their family took me in, cared for me, and kept me safe until there was room for me at the shelter. I'm still sporting a bit of a funny haircut right now because my fur had to be shaved to treat my wounds. Don't worry—my scruffy good looks will grow back! ❤️‍🩹 My friends here have been taking great care of me, and I'm already feeling SO much better. Because of what happened to me, I'm not quite sure how I feel about other dogs yet. I may have been attacked by one, so I'm understandably a little cautious. My shelter friends are taking things slowly and giving me the time I need to feel safe and comfortable. I'm in good hands now, and I'm learning that the world can be a kind place. I'm actually a pretty fantastic little adventurer in many ways! I walk wonderfully on a leash, LOVE riding in the car, and if you let me, I'll happily climb right into your lap. 🚗🐾 There's just something extra special about being close to my person. I can be a little unsure and skittish when I'm faced with new situations, but here's the wonderful thing about me—I don't stay unsure for long! Give me a little patience, kind words, and reassurance, and I warm up surprisingly quickly. Once I realize I'm safe, you'll start seeing more and more of my sweet personality come shining through. 🥰And if you're wondering how to win me over, I've got two very simple answers: YUMMY SNACKS + CUDDLES. ❤️😂Seriously, those are the quickest ways to my heart! I'm looking for someone who will understand that I may need a little time to get comfortable in my new home.
