Meet Apollo

Animal Profile: Apollo was adopted as a puppy in 2018. He was well loved and cared for by a wonderful member of the dog community here in WA. Unfortunately, due to a tragic accident, his owner passed away and Apollo has returned to the rescue. We are committed to finding him a new home that will uphold the standard of love and care Apollo received from his previous owner. Apollo is crate trained, house trained, and friendly with other dogs. In true Doberman form, he can be watchful of strangers, but does make friends easily. Apollo has great manners inside and outside the home, and will be a wonderful companion to one lucky family. Foster Update: Apollo is a loyal, intelligent Doberman looking for a calm and committed home where he can enjoy his golden years with someone special. Having spent his life as a cherished companion, Apollo is ready to build a meaningful bond with a person who values patience, trust, and companionship. Once you've earned his loyalty, he is deeply devoted and eager to please. Apollo is an easy dog to live with. He is house-trained, crate-trained, knows his basic commands, and walks beautifully on leash. He has excellent manners in and out of the home and enjoys a predictable, low-key environment where he can relax and be part of the family. While Apollo currently lives alongside other dogs and is generally friendly, he prefers to do his own thing and does not actively seek out canine companionship. He would be happiest as the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the attention and affection from his people. Apollo cannot live with cats or other small animals due to his high prey drive. Like many Dobermans, he can be watchful around strangers at first, but he warms up quickly and makes friends easily. If you're looking for a loyal, steadfast companion to share life's quieter moments, Apollo may be your perfect match. He has so much love left to give and deserves a family who will make his senior years the best years yet. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue. Apply Online: www.
