Meet Stella
Every senior dog deserves a purpose — and a place to call home. Stella is around 11 years old and has been with PMAR for over five years. She’s one of our beloved long-timers, not because she isn’t wonderful, but because she prefers life without other animals. That can make finding the right match harder — but it doesn’t make her any less deserving of a forever home. She was adopted as a puppy and later returned to PMAR in May 2020 when her adopter’s circumstances changed. Since then, she’s been lovingly cared for by her foster family… but what she truly needs is a home of her own to settle into at last. Stella’s Sweet Spots: • Gentle, shy, and blossoms with patience and trust • Would thrive as an only pet (may do okay with a calm, dog-savvy cat) • Incredibly smart — knows “No,” “Wait,” “Place,” “Down,” “Sit,” “Off,” and “Come” • Loves sniffy walks, sunshine, and peaceful outdoor time Stella has waited far too long for her happily-ever-after. She deserves a cozy couch, a soft blanket, and a family who sees her worth — because she has so much love left to give. Our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals in Canada. Visit www.pmarinc.org for more information, and to fill out an application.
