Meet Brea
Hello, all! I am the beautiful Brea, and I can’t wait to meet you! I am a female hound mix with adorable floppy lab ears and a whippy greyhound tail. My caramel and cream fur is short and soft, and I don’t shed much. I am 9 years old, but you would never guess that by the way I act. I still have the energy I need to keep up with you! Because I am a grown up lady, I already come with important dog skills. I know basic commands like sit, shake, down, and come. I am house trained, and I will let you know when I need to go out. I can climb stairs and can get in and out of a car on my own. I also know the rules of living in a house. I love to go on walks and would probably like to go on short hikes, too. I know how to walk on a leash, but I am a hound, and if my nose catches a scent that I think is interesting, I will want to follow it, and I will want you to come with me! I like to go for car rides, but if you have treats in the front seat with you, my lab side will try to climb the seats to get to them. I love to play with stuffies, though my foster mom says that “play” means the same thing as “destroy”. I don’t know what she means by that. If the ear comes off and the stuffing comes out, that just happens sometimes! I also love to play tug, though that’s usually better as an outdoor game because I sometimes forget how big I am. After all of that, I love a nap either on my comfy bed or on the couch. I do have some quirks you need to know about. I would like to be the only pet in your home. I am not cat friendly, and I am not very dog friendly, either. I am crate trained, but you will need to coax me in and give me some time to settle down, but the good news is that I can be trusted if you leave me out of my crate while you are gone. Also, if you are looking for a buddy to cuddle with you on the couch, we probably aren’t a good match. I’ll let you know when I want scratches and pets, but I like my space. Oh! I also like people of all sorts, but because I can come on a bit strong, it’s probably better if you don’t have little kids unless they know how to act around big, affectionate dogs. And that’s it! I’m an awesome companion, and I can’t wait to meet you! If you think I could be the companion for you, apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication
