Meet YUNA
Yuna is a gentle, laid-back senior girl who is slowly learning how good life can be in a loving home. While she can be very nervous and shy at first, once she starts to feel safe, her sweet personality truly shines. She’s become the perfect quiet companion in foster care—happily lounging nearby while her foster works from home, softly asking for affection with a quiet nudge or by standing beside them for pets. Yuna absolutely loves her daily walks and gets excited to explore the world around her, especially if she spots another animal she’d like to meet. She also enjoys toys, playing fetch in the yard, and rolling happily in the grass now that her confidence is beginning to grow. Yuna is incredibly well behaved in the home. She’s quiet, fully trustworthy when left alone, not destructive, and has shown no interest in getting on furniture. She knows her name, comes when called, rides calmly through life at her own pace, and is happiest in a calm, patient environment where she’s allowed to settle in gradually. Yuna has done well meeting people, ignores barking neighborhood dogs on walks, and has shown herself to be tolerant and respectful with other calm pets. She currently coexists peacefully with another dog and cats, though when she feels overwhelmed indoors she may give a soft growl to ask for space rather than escalate. Because of this, she would likely do best with laid-back pets who respect boundaries and a family willing to continue giving her time and patience as she adjusts. Despite being 10 years old, Yuna still enjoys walks, playtime, and exploring, and she gets around wonderfully for her age. She can be particular about food and seems to prefer softer meals and treats, likely due to sensitive teeth, but once comfortable she happily eats and settles in. Yuna may take time to fully open up, but for someone willing to move at her pace, she is an incredibly kind, loving companion with so much quiet affection to give.
