Beau (SC) is a 10yearold Labrador Retriever/Shepherd mix with a soul as soft as his gaze. Life wasn’t gentle with him, but Beau never stopped believing in better days — and now that they’ve arrived, he’s blooming. He’s continuing a simple care routine that keeps him feeling his best: a thyroid pill twice a day, soothing medicated baths that are helping his fur grow back, and twicedaily eye drops for his dry eye. He handles it all with the calm sweetness of a dog who knows he’s being cared for. eau absolutely adores people and is wonderful with other dogs. He’s also a fantastic copilot — relaxed, happy, and content to ride along wherever you’re headed. At home, he’s an easygoing gentleman who enjoys his walks just as much as curling up beside whoever is available for a cuddle. He loves his meals (truly loves them!) and is very foodmotivated, but he has zero resourceguarding tendencies. And while he’s a senior, Beau still enjoys gentle play — soft nibbling, pawing, mild play growls — especially with his canine foster sisters. It’s sweet, slow, and full of that tender joy older dogs carry when they finally feel safe. Beau doesn’t ask for much: a cozy spot to rest, a kind hand, and a family who will love him for the rest of his days.
