Meet GINGER

Ginger originally came to the shelter in 2020 and was recently returned to our care after struggling in a high-stress shelter environment. Since returning, Ginger has been working through stress and overstimulation, particularly around other dogs and high-value resources. While the shelter environment has been challenging for her, Ginger has shown that with time, patience, and structure, she is capable of settling and showing a much softer side. Outside of the kennel, Ginger is described as calm, easy to walk, and very manageable with handlers. She allows handling well, including her head and feet, and has shown the ability to relax once removed from the busy shelter setting. Ginger would thrive in a home that can provide a structured, low-stimulation environment where she can continue building confidence and stability. With consistency and understanding, Ginger has the potential to continue making positive progress outside of the shelter.
