Meet Harriet (2)

Harriet's adoption fee has been sponsored by one of our donors!!!Harriet is a sweet senior great pyrenees between 6 to 8 years old(aco said 11 years but we feel she is younger)6. She needs to gain some much needed weight. Harriet does fine with other dogs as long as they don't rush at her and respect that she choses not to play foolish games with the youngsters as she is an older lady that prefers no such foolishness. Harriet enjoys a soft, fluffy bed, attention and the finer things in life as she likely never had much in her former life. She is ready to find her furever home to live out her golden years in peace and quiet. You will fall in love with this beauty. Please visit our website for more info on our adoption process and adoption application www.barkdogfarm.org Before applying be sure you have thoroughly researched Great Pyrenees. They can be stubborn, prone to barking, overly protective and cannot be off leash. You WILL NOT train a pyr to boundaries. Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring dog home now. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. We do not have blanket criteria regarding adoptions. Each applicant is considered based on many things including but not limited to breed experience, yard ( visible fence preferred) and other animals in home. We try to avoid dogs with same sex households as pyrs typically do not do well with the same sex. A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the dog to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called. A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place. If all are in agreement an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid. Adoption fees for dogs are $500. for adults over 12 months, $600 for puppies 12 months and younger. Fees for seniors, special needs or harder to place dogs will be determined by our Board of Directors. All dogs will be altered when adoption is finalized. This may involve young puppies be given until a certain age to be altered. All animals are up to date on age appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, heart worm and lyme tested if 6 months or older, microchipped and have a current health certificate. Proof of a basic obedience course completed is part of our adoption contract within six months. Our descriptions are based on shelter evaluations, input from foster homes and interactions with our volunteers but are in no way a guarantee of temperment. We show animals by appointment only. This is usually done meet outdoors so please dress accordingly. Please email barkingdogfrm@gmail.com with any questions or to arrange a meet and greet.
