Meet Buffy

Meet Buffy Buffy is a sweet little girl with a gentle soul who came to us alongside her best friend, Petey, after their mama entered hospice care. This 8–9 year old Shih Tzu mix weighs about 13 pounds and has the cutest little underbite that gives her an extra dose of charm. Buffy can be a bit shy at first and needs time to feel safe in new surroundings. With patience, kindness, and a few tasty treats, she slowly begins to trust—and when she does, her affectionate side shines through. She’ll nuzzle against your legs and occasionally hop up to ask for love, showing just how much she wants to connect. She absolutely adores Petey and looks to him for comfort and confidence, especially in unfamiliar situations. Because of their strong bond, we would love to see them adopted together to help Buffy continue to feel secure. Buffy enjoys a calm, quiet environment where she can relax at her own pace. A home with a fully fenced yard would be ideal, as she loves spending time outside, though she’s just as happy curled up in a cozy bed for a long nap. She walks nicely on a leash (especially with Petey by her side), though she can be a little hesitant at first. She is doing well with house training, using potty pads indoors when needed and going outside regularly. Buffy would do best in an adult-only home or one without young children, as she prefers a peaceful, low-energy setting. She has no aggression—just a tender heart that needs understanding and time to blossom. Buffy has been professionally groomed and did wonderfully. She’ll need regular grooming to keep her feeling her best. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving companion—and have room in your heart and home for two—Buffy (and ideally her beloved Petey!) would love to meet you. Buffy is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested neg. for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $350 We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security.
