Meet CHUCHO
Chucho is a 7-year-old German Shepherd who brings a calm, easygoing presence wherever he goes. He’s easily leashed at the gate and walks out confidently, handling new environments without hesitation. Whether heading through gates or into buildings, Chucho takes everything in stride and is a very easy dog to walk. In the play yard, Chucho enjoys doing his own thing. He spent his time sniffing and exploring, taking in all the sights and smells. He may be housebroken, as he took care of his business right away once outside. He doesn’t show much interest in toys or balls and seems happiest just roaming and observing the world around him. Chucho has a gentle nature and takes treats very softly. He will come over to check in on his own, but he isn’t overly affectionate and prefers a more independent lifestyle. He allowed some petting but chose to continue exploring rather than seek out constant attention. He has shown some reactivity toward other dogs, particularly when one was nearby in an adjacent pen, so he may do best with slow introductions or as the only dog in the home. Overall, Chucho is a calm, gentle, and low-key companion who would be a great match for someone who appreciates a more independent dog that enjoys peaceful walks and quiet exploration.
