Meet Coal

Coal is a 6 month old male Lab mix with a stunning glossy black coat and a gentle heart. He is very shy when you first meet him, but you can quickly see how much he REALLY wants to be your friend. With a few soft treats, a little time, and some gentle encouragement, Coal’s sweet personality begins to shine. As one of the shyer pups in his litter, Coal is still building his confidence and learning that the world is a fun place full of new adventures. He’s working on his leash skills and discovering that walks lead to fun things like exploring and time with new friends. True to his Lab breed, Coal is a sweet, affectionate pup who loves attention and has so much love to give. He seems to do well with other dogs and has also been comfortable around cats at the shelter. This special pup is all set to blossom in his forever home, and become a loving companion for his family. So be sure to meet Coal soon! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
