Meet Cocoa

WATCH MY VIDEO...Cocoa is a beautiful 2-year-old Black Lab mix who is hoping her next home will truly be forever. She was adopted from us but was returned when the other pet in the family developed an allergy to her. Thankfully, Cocoa had the opportunity to spend some time in a foster home, and her foster family gave us some wonderful insight into what she’s like in a home environment. Cocoa is good with adults, dogs and cats. She lived with other adult dogs and an adult cat in her foster home and did beautifully. In fact, she was perfectly happy sharing the couch with the cat! She is curious but submissive with other dogs and absolutely loves having canine friends. Cocoa is also a very good houseguest. She is housebroken, good in the car and respectful of indoor cats. She does need some leash training because she tends to pull, especially when something catches her attention. And with her high energy level, daily exercise will be important. She’ll be happiest with a family who enjoys getting outside and giving her plenty of opportunities to run, explore and play. Cocoa loves to cuddle, although her size and enthusiasm may make her a little too strong for younger children, even when she’s simply trying to show them some love. Older children who are comfortable around an energetic dog may be a better match. Cocoa has so much to offer: she’s affectionate, playful, dog-friendly, cat-friendly and already knows how to behave in a home. Now she just needs a family who will appreciate her wonderful qualities and make her part of their lives for good. Could Cocoa be the energetic, loving companion your family has been looking for?
