This boy is incredibly loving, a little needy in the most adorable way, and happiest when he is right by his person. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who loves to cuddle, Cooper may be your guy! Cooper absolutely loves people of all sizes and did wonderfully when meeting a cat. He also does great with his foster siblings. He is definitely on the submissive side, which may be because he was apparently bullied by his brother before coming to us. These days, Cooper is learning that life can be full of love, kindness, and plenty of snuggles. Bavarian Mountain Hounds are known for their incredible tracking abilities, and Cooper is a breed with some very special natural instincts. While they can be used for tracking wounded animals, we would love to see Cooper’s future family consider putting those talents to work in search and rescue training. He is very in tune with his person and eager to be close, which makes us hopeful that he could really thrive with someone willing to invest in his training and give him a job to enjoy. Cooper is doing well with potty training and crate training and continues to make great progress. He is looking for an active, loving family who will include him in their adventures, continue his training, and give this sweet boy the companionship and purpose he deserves. Cooper has so much love to give and could be an incredibly special partner for the family willing to help him reach his full potential. ❤️ Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $300. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Our adoption events are held every other Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232.
