Meet Daisy
Sweet Daisy is a 6-year-old sable and white rough collie with a gentle heart. Her foster family describes her as shy and a bit nervous at first, but she warms up quickly to people with love and attention. In fact, she feels so safe and comfortable around her foster mom that she needs to be taught a bit about boundaries and personal space. She prefers to be RIGHT beside her human at all times, enjoying gentle pets and cuddles. A true couch potato, Daisy is currently somewhat overweight, so her foster family is helping her stay on track by encouraging daily walks and regular exercise as part of her routine. As an adult dog, she already knows most of her commands but is eager to please and motivated to learn more. Daisy would likely do best in a calm adult-only home where she can be the only pet. She is somewhat anxious and cautious around the other dogs in the house. Daisy is protective of her food and prefers to have her own space, especially at mealtimes. Outdoors, Daisy prefers to be alone rather than play with the other dogs. The presence of her foster family and their reassurance keeps her calm, and she already knows she can trust them and feels safe. With some tender loving care and a patient home, Daisy’s foster family believes she has all the makings of a devoted and affectionate companion.
