Meet Demi ❤️ Demi is a beautiful 2-year-old, 70-pound German Shepherd mix with a long, fluffy sable coat, striking black markings, and those unmistakable shepherd ears. Whatever her mix, she's one gorgeous girl—and she has the personality to match. Demi is incredibly well behaved in the house. She's house-trained, calm and relaxed indoors, and settled into home life like she'd been there forever. She's also SMART. She already knows sit, stay and down, learns quickly, and genuinely seems to enjoy figuring out what her people are asking of her. Her favorite thing, though, is people. Demi is affectionate, friendly and happiest near her humans. She's not particularly food motivated, but pets, scratches and attention? That's her currency. She's also comfortable being left home alone and doesn't need constant entertainment. Demi loves getting outside for walks and does well on leash. She can be selective about her canine friends, so introductions to other dogs should be thoughtful and taken slowly. We don't know how she feels about cats yet. Because of her size and what seems to make her most comfortable, we think Demi would be happiest in a house with a yard rather than an apartment setting. She's a wonderful combination of smart, affectionate and easygoing—happy to get out and explore with you and just as happy to settle in nearby when it's time to relax.
