Meet Devo

WATCH MY VIDEO...Imagine becoming part of a family, spending two wonderful years with the people you love, and then suddenly finding yourself back at the shelter because someone developed allergies. It breaks your heart, especially when, like Devo, you did absolutely nothing wrong. Devo is a handsome 2-year-old brindle Dutch Shepherd who is ready to put that difficult chapter behind him and find a family who will love him for all the years ahead. He is incredibly friendly, loves affection and treats, and is always happy to make new friends. He enjoys toys, especially his Frisbee, and one of his favorite outings is a trip to the park. If there’s a chance to go for a swim, even better! Devo is wonderful with people and has lived successfully with children, including infants. He is not a fan of cats, and he can be choosy about canine friends, particularly dogs who are not neutered. A dog meet would be recommended to make sure everyone is a good match. This smart guy does have some allergies and has been on allergy medication on and off. His new family should be prepared to continue working with their veterinarian to keep him comfortable. Devo is an active dog, so exercise is a must. He would love a family who enjoys getting outside and can give him plenty of opportunities to run, play, swim and explore. He could also benefit from some additional training. He is such a sweet boy, but he gets excited and likes to jump up to say hello, something we are working on with him while he’s with us. Devo has already shown that he knows how to be a loving member of a family. Now he just needs someone willing to make a lifelong commitment to him. After two years in a home, Devo deserves to know that his next family is forever. Could you be the family that gives this smart, affectionate, adventurous boy the second chance he deserves?
