Meet Dinger
10/2/2026Dinger is an owner surrender looking for a new home. Hi! My name is Dinger! I am a handsome 2-year-old flashy brindle boy that is an owner surrender due to my owner's moving and unable to take me. I am described as friendly, active, smart, playful, quiet, nervous, obedient, and affectionate! I currently live with another dog and am said to be dog friendly with it, but do not like other dogs (or deer) that come up to the fence at my home or are off leash. I have never lived with a cat and due to my reaction with other animals, a cat-free home would be best. There are no children in my home but I wiggle and sometimes like to greet humans with hugs but am easily correctable when needed! I am house trained, crate trained, know basic commands, am an exceptional traveler, well behaved at the vet when other animals are on leash, eat kibble and freeze-dried food once per day, and sleep in the crate willingly! If the humans must be away, I am calm being left alone and will hang out in my crate. When outside I do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates but love to watch my owner build things in the backyard as if I'm learning to do it myself! I am scared of workers, leaf blowers, and brooms. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, bones, running zoomies, people, lying at the humans' feet, and cuddling on the couch! My current owner says I am "very loyal and love my family". They also say I am a "great boy who is just about to enter my non-puppy energy and am the perfect boxer" and I agree! If you think I would make a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!
