Meet Dolly! ❤️ Hi there! My name is Dolly, and I’m a sweet girl with a gentle heart and some very strong motherly instincts. ❤️ I was rescued from a puppy mill, and I’m discovering more and more every day that life can be pretty wonderful! I’m still learning all about this big world around me. I’m working on my leash skills and getting better every day! I love to point, sniff, explore, and take my time checking everything out. I’m also learning how much fun toys can be! One of my favorite things to do is gather my toys into my crate and then curl up and snuggle with them. Of course, cuddles and gentle pets are pretty high on my list of favorite things, too! I’m still learning how to be a dog, so I can be a little shy when I first meet new people. But once I feel safe and comfortable, my sweet personality starts to shine. ❤️ I just need someone who will be patient with me and let me warm up at my own pace. I do well with dogs and cats, but I’m happiest with calm, low-energy dogs. Very energetic pups can make me nervous, so I’d prefer a quieter canine companion. I’d also do best with older children who understand that I may need a little time and space to feel comfortable. Just look at how far I’ve come in one short month! I’m learning that life can be filled with kindness, love, comfort, soft beds, cuddles, and wonderful new adventures.
