Meet Dolly Parton

Hello future family. I’m Dolly Parton, a gorgeous 5-year-old, 45 pound Siberian Husky with dazzling black-and-white markings, a heart of gold, and just enough sass to keep life interesting. My foster mom says I’m surprisingly mellow for a Husky, which is fancy foster-parent language for “she hasn’t redecorated the house with the couch cushions… yet.” I adore my people, enjoy meeting everyone (can be shy at first) , and love spending my days playing with my foster brother, going to doggie daycare, or lounging beside my humans like the queen I am. I don’t live with kids, but I’ve met children and did wonderfully! I’m potty trained and crate trained. I don’t love my crate, but luckily for you and me, I am great in the house when left alone. I love treats and am so gentle when taking them. I live with a Great Dane and love doggie daycare, so I’d be thrilled to have a canine companion. However, I could also be your one-and-only, as long as I get daily walks, playtime, attention, and regular reminders that I am, in fact, very beautiful. I love walks. Never leave doors open, because I may interpret that as an official invitation to play “You Chase Dolly.” I run, you chase, everyone gets exercise, and I pretend this was your idea. I haven’t tried to jump fences or dig out, but secure doors are absolutely essential. I’m not trying to escape forever—I just believe every open door leads to an exciting new adventure. Cats are still an unknown. I haven’t met one yet, so slow introductions would be necessary. I may become best friends with a cat, or I may decide the cat is an extremely suspicious roommate. Only time will tell.
