Meet Drake! Drake is a handsome Shepherd mix around 56 years old who is looking for a patient person willing to let him come out of his shell at his own pace. Drake can be nervous around new people and may need some time to feel comfortable. But once he trusts you, he is an absolute sweetheart! He is also a goofy boy who loves toys, has decent leash manners, knows some commands, and has proper manners. He is crate trained, too! Because of his breed and nervous nature, we feel Drake would do best with an adopter who has experience with working breeds and understands the importance of patience, structure, and building trust. He would likely be most comfortable in a home with teens or older. We are unsure how Drake feels about other dogs, so a dog test will be required. We are also unsure about cats, and any introductions should be done very slowly and carefully to make sure everyone is comfortable. Drake is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines.
