Meet Dude

Dude has been through an incredible amount of change in a short time. After his owner passed away, he found himself at the shelter with no family able to take him in. It's a heartbreaking situation, and while he's still trying to make sense of it all, there's a gentle soul underneath his fear just waiting for someone to give him another chance. Dude is a quiet, low energy boy who just wants to spend his day relaxing and doing his own thing. He walks well on leash, but a bit skittish. What he needs most is something no shelter can really provide: a comfy, cozy home where he can decompress at his own pace and learn that the world can feel safe again. Dude isn't looking for excitement - he's looking for kindness, patience, and someone willing to let him heal. Watching a dog like him slowly discover that it's okay to trust again is one of the most rewarding experiences there is.
