Meet Duke
Location: Littleston, PA Duke, a 9-month-old male Heeler weighing approximately 45 pounds. Duke is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on his preventives. While he can be shy at first, Duke warms up quickly and is incredibly sweet. He is a typical juvenile Heeler—eager to please but full of energy (occasionally earning the nickname "Duke the Destroyer" for his fondness for chewing dog beds). He has great recall and is safe around chickens, horses, cows and cats. He is also fully house-trained with a dog door, crates quietly, and loves playing with other young dogs. Duke would thrive in a home that provides structure rather than discipline; he does not respond well to yelling or threats and needs a patient environment to feel secure. He generally prefers men, though he is friendly with women as well. If you are looking for a dedicated jogging, hiking, or farm companion, Duke is the perfect match.
