Meet Ellie II

Hi, I’m Ellie! My life hasn’t always been filled with love, warm beds, and kind hands. You see, my four siblings and I spent the beginning of our lives living on the streets, just trying to survive. We didn’t know what it felt like to be safe or loved. Eventually, animal control picked us up, and we found ourselves in a shelter. Thankfully, someone saw that we deserved a second chance, and my siblings and I were rescued! Now I’m learning what it means to be a loved little girl, but I still have a long way to go. I’m a sweet, happy girl with a gentle heart, but the world is still a pretty scary place to me. I want to trust people, I really do, but sometimes my past makes that hard. I just need a little extra time to understand that kind hands are here to love me, not hurt me. I absolutely LOVE having other dogs around! They help me feel safe, give me confidence, and remind me that everything is going to be okay. Having a furry friend in my forever home would mean so much to me! My crate is my safe place. It’s where I feel protected when the world gets overwhelming. I’m also still learning that I get to go outside to potty now. For so long, I didn’t have that choice, so sometimes I still potty in my crate. I’m trying my best, I promise! I just need someone who understands that learning a whole new way of life takes time. I’m not looking for someone who expects me to be perfect. I’m looking for someone who will love me while I learn. Someone patient. Someone gentle. Someone who will celebrate my little victories, give me grace on my hard days, and show me that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. I’ve already survived the hardest chapter of my life. Now I’m just hoping someone will give me the chance to write a beautiful new one. Will you be the person who teaches me what forever feels like? Love, Ellie
