Meet Erin

Erin’s finder reached out to our officers once he got her into his apartment for safe keeping, after their paths crossed while out for a walk and her appearing to be without an owner. Between the two of them, they loaded up this big, sweet girl into our ACO’s truck to help find her family! With no chip and no ID tag, Charlotte remained here on her stray hold while also appearing on our website as all strays do, but sadly no one came to take her home. Sweet Erin is both easy to leash and get out of her kennel and is a social butterfly along the way! She is a big chonky baby and can pull hard, but that is only because someone else may need to see her and love on her!! She met a similarly sized neutered male since she has been here with us and walked right up to her new pal, with nothing but tail-wags! Her new friend had so much respect for her that he let her take charge of their interaction! She sniffed his ears, with him just rolling over taking it all in! So sweet! The more time they spent together, the more bounces she presented and the more playful she got! This sweet girl proved her social butterfly status even more! Please come and meet this super sweet girl in person here at the shelter to see if she is meant to spend forever with your family! We are a first come, first served and in person adoption center. We always recommend meet and greets with and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all, also! Because she was a stray, we don't know how she does with cats and have no way to test for that. All of our adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and UTD on all age-appropriate vaccines/preventatives. Adopters will need to establish vet care upon adopting to maintain their new family member’s health and wellness. If you can’t promise forever, please consider waiting until you can, before you adopt! And remember the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet. 3 days for your new pet to decompress3 weeks for your new family member to settle in3 months for them to build trustErin’s adoption fee is $40 now through end of day, August 31, 2026!
