Meet Everest

Meet Everest! Six-year-old Chihuahua mix Everest is a little girl who has been through more than she ever should have. She came to us as part of a seizure case and sadly, she wasn't living in the best conditions. Because of her past, Everest is very under-socialized and unsure of the big, wide world around her. She has such a sweet soul and you can tell she wants to trust and be loved. The hard part is that she just isn't quite sure what to do with all that affection yet. She'll need someone who understands that confidence doesn't happen overnight and who is willing to let her take things at her own pace. Everest came in with three other dogs and seems to do well with them, but a dog test will be required with any current dogs in the home. We aren't sure how she feels about cats, so slow, patient introductions would be best. We're also unsure how Everest will respond to children, so the whole family will need to come for a meet and greet. Everest is looking for a quiet, patient home where she can decompress, learn that she is safe, and discover that the world can be a pretty wonderful place. She doesn't need someone to fix her she needs someone willing to give her time, understanding, and lots of gentle encouragement. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
