Meet Everest (female)

Forever Home Wanted: Meet Everest! Everest is a young Labrador Retriever mix who found herself sitting in the shelter just after the Fourth of July. With overcrowded shelters and time running out, this sweet girl was dangerously close to becoming another statistic. We took one look at her and said, “Not happening.” Everest left the shelter behind and headed to one of our boarding facilities. But now, thanks to an amazing foster saying YES, she has finally traded boarding for a HOME—and we’re getting to see just how awesome she really is! So far, Everest is checking off some pretty great boxes. She’s crate trained and sleeps through the night without a peep, loves playing ball, rides great in the car, is dog and tortoise friendly, and has been wonderful with the toddler in her foster home. Not too shabby, Everest! Everest can initially be a little shy when meeting new people, but she just needs you to move at her pace. Give her some space, let her approach when she’s ready, and it doesn’t take long for her to realize that, hey… being petted is actually pretty nice!
