Meet Freya

Freya’s sweet, gentle spirit is easy to see the moment you meet her. This beautiful one-year-old girl weighs about 57 pounds and has the most unique speckled coat and soft, soulful eyes. But the shelter environment is very overwhelming for her, and it’s clear she would much rather be somewhere safe and quiet with someone who will love her. Freya is submissive, friendly, and very gentle. She approaches people softly and kindly, wanting affection but a little unsure of the busy shelter around her. She’s timid right now and clearly scared in the kennel environment, but her kind nature shines through. With patience, kindness, and a calm home, Freya will blossom into the loyal companion she’s meant to be. At just a year old, Freya has her whole life ahead of her. She deserves a soft bed, a yard to explore, and a family who will help her feel safe again. Dogs like Freya often struggle the most in shelters simply because they are sensitive souls. What Freya needs most right now is someone willing to give her a chance — whether that’s a foster, adopter, or rescue. A gentle girl like Freya shouldn’t have to face the shelter alone.
