Meet Frosted Flakes

Frosted Flakes is a sweet 2-year-old, 55-pound pittie mix who is ready for a fresh start! Affectionate, playful, and treat-motivated, she loves a good game of fetch and enjoys pets and praise. She previously lived with children and is friendly with people. On a recent field trip, Frosted Flakes explored the Harbor Bay Lagoon Trail and showed great potential. She pulled quite a bit at first, but with patient leash training, she made huge progress in a short amount of time! By the end, she was checking in with her handler, walking more loosely, and even strolling alongside them. She happily sniffed and explored and was completely uninterested in the small wildlife she encountered. Frosted Flakes knows “sit,” , can catch treats mid-air, gives wonderful eye contact, and is eager to learn with patient, reward-based training. She’ll thrive with a family willing to help her build leash skills and basic manners. With other dogs at the shelter, Frosted Flakes is a gentle, social player. She could thrive as your one-and-only, or might enjoy canine companionship with a well-matched dog.
