Meet Fudge

Fudge might have had a short and tragic life when he was abandoned on a bitterly cold day in Texas. But someone was looking out for him because Fudge was discovered by a Good Samaritan who could see that Fudge deserved a second chance and a happy ending. All Fudge needs now is the forever home and family to make his second chance complete. Fudge is an 8-month-old Dobermanmixed breed boy. He currently weighs 47 pounds, and it is estimated he will be a medium sized dog (31-60 pounds) when he is fully grown. Fudge has been raised with children and loves to share his puppy energy and wonder at all the new games and adventures the world can offer with other dogs as well as with children. It is not known whether Fudge is comfortable with cats. Fudge is working on his house and leash training. It is important to remember that rescue dogs can have accidents as they become accustomed to a new home, family and routines. If crate training is planned, Fudge requires a crate big enough for him to stand and turn around in as well as lie down comfortably. Crates should be cozy, happy places for dogs to hang out and must never be used for punishment. Fudge is that delightful puppy who needs buddies with the energy to discover the big, beautiful world outside the door, before settling in for much needed rest along with some hugs and kisses.
