Meet Ghost

Meet Ghost, this stunning, soft-coated six-month-old has just settled into his South Bay foster home and is already impressing us with his intelligence and friendly nature with other dogs. He is also a true people lover. After watching the resident dogs use it, he’s mastered the doggie door and is easily moving through the house and yard. After a couple of shampoos to shed the street life behind him, he settled into his crate for an 8-hour slumber, with one potty break in the middle of the night. Today, he’s zooming, asking the resident dogs for play and seeking cuddles from the humans. Ghost is gentle, knows leash walks, and seems to know come, down, and a few other commands. We suspect he’ll be a large, handsome adult dog. Ghost is also living with a few teens and two cats in addition to the two resident shepherds. We’ll share further updates as he settles into his foster home and gets vetted for his neuter. This past weekend, we joined the SJ AC team at Rescue Row for Bark in the Park SJ. With a German Shepherd Rescue and the shelter side by side for seven hours, it was only a matter of time before a deserving shepherd like Ghost, formerly Geraldo, found his chance for a new beginning with us. The teens in his foster home picked Ghost for his new name when he didn't respond to his shelter-given name. We are looking for a forever home with German Shepherd experience that can provide the time and resources needed for training, positive experiences, and the structure Ghost needs to thrive and become a well-balanced companion.
