Meet Gloria

I like to move it, move it!..well, at least until it's time for a nap. Meet Gloria, a 4-year-old XL Bully mix who clocks in at 77 pounds of wiggles, wags, and unapologetic house hippo charm. Much like her famous namesake from Madagascar, she's sweet, sassy, lovable, and impossible to ignore. She's currently carrying a few extra "snaccident pounds," so she's looking for a family who will help her trade a few treats for some extra walkies. Don't worry...she plans to negotiate. Gloria firmly believes everyone deserves an enthusiastic greeting, preferably delivered with her entire body. Personal space? Never heard of it. She also hasn't quite accepted that she's built like a linebacker with a marshmallow heart, so while her intentions are nothing but love, tiny toddlers could accidentally find themselves caught in the path of the Gloria Express. Older kids are much more likely to stay on their feet. She knows "sit"...unless she's too excited, in which case all bets are off. Luckily, treats are basically her love language, so she's eager to learn and happy to work for snacks. Again...it's all about balance. Whether she's making you laugh with her goofy antics, leaning her whole body against you for cuddles, or reminding you that yes, hippos can, in fact, live indoors, Gloria has a way of turning ordinary days into unforgettable ones. Her minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
