Meet Goliath: A Gentle Giant Searching for His Forever Home ❤️ Goliath is a true gentle giant - this big boy has the heart of a teddy bear. :-) Though his past life may not have treated him well, Goliath is still learning to trust, and the volunteers who have met him can't say enough about his sweet, loving nature. Goliath is currently heartworm positive. We have started his treatment and ASR will pay for all heartworm treatment expenses, as well as provide an ASR volunteer experienced with the protocol ( basically 3 -4 vet visits over 60 days, restricted activity--leash walks instead of ball playing during that time) Despite the challenges Goliath has faced, the shelter veterinarian commented on how wonderfully sweet-tempered he is. Not many vets see that in German Shepherds :-) Goliath is still getting to know the world, but he is gentle and loving with every volunteer he meets.
